What should we pay attention to when installing the straight cross belt?

The straight-line cross belt conveyor shall be installed with the following precautions:

Preparation before installation

Site preparation

The installation site must be flat, and the ground bearing capacity should meet the weight requirements of equipment and operation. If the ground is uneven, it may lead to the inclination of the equipment after installation, which may affect the stability of the transported materials, and may even cause the equipment to shake and damage during operation.

There should be enough installation space to ensure proper maintenance and operation space around the equipment after installation. Generally speaking, at least 1-1.5 meters of space should be reserved on both sides of the conveyor and at the head and tail.

Component inspection

Carefully inspect all parts of the equipment, including conveyor belt, driving roller, reversing roller, idler and so on. Check whether the parts are damaged, deformed or missing. For example, the surface of the conveyor belt should not be damaged or layered, otherwise it will affect the service life and conveying effect of the conveyor belt.

Check whether the specifications and models of components meet the design requirements, and ensure that all components can be installed and matched correctly.

Key points in the installation process

Foundation installation

According to the requirements of the installation drawings of the equipment, accurately pour the foundation. The size, position and strength of the foundation must meet the design standards. For example, for a large-scale linear cross belt conveyor, the concrete strength grade of the foundation should generally not be lower than C20.

When installing anchor bolts, ensure the verticality and fastening force of the bolts. The exposed length of anchor bolts should meet the design requirements, and appropriate protective measures should be taken to prevent the bolts from rusting.

Rack installation

The center line of the frame must coincide with the center line of the conveyor, and the deviation should be controlled within the allowable range. Generally, it is required that the straightness deviation of the rack shall not exceed 3 mm per meter and the total length shall not exceed 15 mm..

The connection between adjacent frames shall be firm and reliable, and high-strength bolts shall be used for connection, and tightened according to the specified torque. The connection parts shall be smooth, and there shall be no dislocation or excessive gap.

Installation of roller and idler

The installation of the driving roller and the reversing roller should ensure that their axes are perpendicular to the center line of the conveyor, and the deviation should not be greater than 2/1000 of the roller width. The levelness deviation of the drum shall not exceed 0.5mm per meter.

The idler should be installed to ensure that it has good contact with the conveyor belt and can rotate flexibly. The spacing of idlers should meet the design requirements. Under normal circumstances, the spacing of bearing idlers is 1-1.2m, and the spacing of return idlers is 2-3m.

Conveyor belt installation

When installing the conveyor belt, pay attention to the direction of the conveyor belt to ensure that the running direction of the conveyor belt is consistent with the design requirements. In the process of laying the conveyor belt, it is necessary to avoid contact between the conveyor belt and sharp objects and prevent the conveyor belt from being scratched.

The joint treatment of conveyor belt is the key link. The common joint methods are vulcanized joint and mechanical joint. The strength of vulcanized joint is high, but the process is complicated; The mechanical joint is simple to operate, but its strength is relatively low. The quality of the joint directly affects the service life and conveying efficiency of the conveyor belt. The joint should be smooth, and its straightness deviation should not exceed 5mm within any length of 25 meters.

Debugging and inspection after installation

No-load debugging

After the installation, first carry out no-load debugging. Check whether the running direction of each motor, reducer and other driving devices is correct. During operation, observe whether there is abnormal vibration and noise in all parts of the equipment. For example, under normal circumstances, the noise of the conveyor during operation should be less than 85 decibels.

Check whether the tension of the conveyor belt is appropriate. If the conveyor belt is too loose, it will slip; If it is too tight, it will increase the wear of conveyor belt and components and shorten the service life of equipment. Usually, it is advisable to gently lift the conveyor belt with your fingers at the contact point between the conveyor belt and the driving roller.

Load debugging

After no-load debugging is normal, carry out load debugging. Gradually increase the weight of the transported materials and observe the operation of the equipment under different loads. Check the stability of materials in the process of transportation, whether there is material scattering, deviation and other phenomena. If there is deviation, the position of the roller or idler should be adjusted in time to correct the running direction of the conveyor belt.

Monitor the parameters such as current and voltage of the driving device to ensure the normal power consumption of the equipment when the load is running. The load debugging time is generally not less than 2 hours to fully test the performance of the equipment.
